Dance Club

Dance Club
Tuesdays 3:15pm-4:15pm
Biggleswade
A place for young people to go, to learn dance in a fun dynamic atmosphere. Movement games, exercises, learning sequences and small tasks to promote postive wellbeing.
The club will be a space to build confidence in the uniqueness of how each individual moves. There will always be sequences and directions to follow but there will also be opportunities for individuals to creatively express.

Dance can help people of any age improve their mental wellbeing, a place to de-stress, have fun and express themselves - all whilst expanding their skills and making friends. I am thoroughly excited to open this space up for young people to flourish!
For those who are taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh award, this club can go towards the physical activity section.

A little about me and why I have started these classes up:

I am Jasmine and I am a dance freelancer and artist. I teach, choreograph, perform, facilitate and am also a masseuse.

I used to be a student at Stratton School a good decade ago. When I was at school, I ran a dance club for 4 years that I thoroughly enjoyed. It was a place that made me so happy, to create and teach others. It was a lovely community and I believe there should always be a place for people to go dance.

I have been working with Stratton on their main shows over the past few years. It is amazing to see the sparks of talent and personalities around. It would be great to help facilitate and help those individuals to be even more empowered.
