I was a child with her head in anatomy books and now an intuitive mover and creative still fascinated by the body and how we can kindly support it.
Who am I to tell your kids?
This space is about guidance and curiosity, bringing conversations up through creating art. Sometimes I may have the answer or an open thought process that we can explore together or maybe we find the answers together in a safe way. Because if your kids aren't asking you, then where are they getting their information from? And whilst period education is in schools - I am offering a smaller group the chance to let the information sink in and to explore through art what these changes in their bodies means for them.
I will be focusing on an open approach, respecting voices and helping young people to explore and honour their choices.
Following guidance and guidelines on Key Stage 2 Period Education from Period Positive and Period Education. I am also in contact with professionals - if any questions come up that I am unable to answer.
We are starting with an opening, a doorway that allows the group to be empowered and not ashamed when their body begins to change. To be equipped with the knowledge to feel safe in their bodies and make choices that feel right for them.
I have successfully completed Level 4 safeguarding, First aid courses, food safety and have taught many young people -from afterschool dance clubs to craft and dance camps.
£20 per session (each season) or £70 if you book onto all 4 sessions.
